Torii regards the promotion of compliance as an important management priority. We are continually working to educate and inform all members of our organization about the importance of compliance. To enhance the effectiveness of our compliance initiatives, we have established compliance-related regulations as well as compiled and distributed guidelines and other materials defining values, ethics and standards to be shared and observed by both directors and employees. We are also working actively to ensure that all directors and employees are fully aware of our obligations to comply with laws and regulations concerning marketing and promotional activities, including the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law. To ensure early detection of problems, we have also established internal and external contact points for reporting of regulatory violations and other situations.Such reports will be vigorously investigated under the coordination of the Compliance Promotion Bureau, and any necessary action will be taken. The Compliance Committee monitors all reporting of problems and the progress of compliance initiatives. It also deliberates and makes decisions on matters relating to compliance promotion.
